Paid Website Promotion On The Central Coast of NSW

As in business on the NSW Central Coast, there are two methods of website promotion. One group is those that are free, and the other requires investment of money! This is all about getting more customers for your business, and you want to get results fast as well as in the long term

Free Or Paid

There are two types of traffic you can send to your website. Some of it is free. The other is paying for traffic. You can pay a fixed amount, or only pay for those who take the next step and visit your site. The principle difference with paid advertising is the possibility of immediate results.

Website Design Is Important.

Before you start advertising your web site, you will want to make sure that when visitors arrive, it is optimised to convert them into customers. There are many ways to do this ranging from the hit them on the head approach of infomercials, to a subtle building trust approach, the one we prefer.

When using the direct approach, you need an irresistible offer that your clients simply can’t refuse. In the case of building trust, it is the confidence they develop in your business that drives them to becoming a customer. In my opinion, this is a better long term strategy.

Paid Traffic Generation

I am not going to cover every possible way to get visitors here. If you are creative, you can probably dream up some of your own. On the internet, you can set up a Pay Per Click campaign and see results in 2 hours! This is far quicker that a newspaper or TV ad, which can take weeks before it even appears.

  1. Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines allow you to place small ads with them. When someone searches on a key term, the ad appears at the top of page one, and invites them to click on it for more information. This is a fast way to get new clients, but can be costly. An ad for “electrician” for example, could cost $10 a click. That means every person who goes to your site costs you $10. If you had 1,000 in a month that would be a $10,000 spend. We use PPC advertising to determine which keywords provide the right traffic. These days customers are wary of advertising on line and are more likely to respond to a generic entry, such as Google places.

  1. Ezine Advertising

Another not so well known method is to advertise in Newsletters. For instance if there was a Gosford Car Club. And you had a specialist auto mechanic business, advertising in their newsletter would directly address people who might want your services. There are industry Ezines, plus special interest groups, and advertising rates are generally very economical, considering you are reaching a target audience.

  1. Banner Advertising

Some web sites allow you to place a banner on their site for a fee. Again, if you discover a web site on the Central Coast where you can place a banner for a plumber, those who follow this website regularly see your banner each time and it becomes familiar to them. When they want a plumber, they will think of your business!

  1. Email Lists

If you know who your target audience is, you can purchase email lists and there are services that will email blast your message to thousands of potential clients. As with most direct response marketing, you need an exceptional offer to be effective. Once they are on your prospect list, you can woo them top becoming a customer. This method can build business fast, but good lists are not cheap!

There are many other paid methods of finding customers. You can go to individual blogs and negotiate a banner ad or text ad. You can find a business that is complementary to yours and exchange links or banners. You can advertise on Facebook, Youtube, and many other Social Networking sites. On the internet, you are really only limited to your imagination. A business needs to select a combination of paid and free traffic generation methods to create the most new customers for their business.
